The Jameston Bunch

"Here's the story, of a..."

Oh no! Oh my god no!...
Actually it's kind of funny how I can't concentrate on writing stuff when that tune is playing in the background... yeah I've got THAT song running right now.

Let me just turn it off again ...

So... What I actually wanted to say was something about the Jameston family. I said a few days earlier that I wanted to post a few things about Richard Jameston, his father and grandfather... and here ya go.

Benjamin Jameston

The man, the myth, the legend...
Little is still known about Richard's grandfather, except that it was him who founded the Jameston Company in order to capitalize on the wars the US got involved with.
He was also the one who initially started investing large amounts of money into scientific research in order to develope new technologies with the goal to enhance and improve life on earth and mankind itself. Under his management JSD got involved with research on hive-minds such as the one of bees.
It is rumored that Benjamind Jameston died during the early 1950's, but this has never been verified by the family.
(See here for all the parts of the Company and their abbreviations)

Henry & Margaret Jameston

Probably the most powerful couple of the US...
Henry's and Margaret's marriage had been arranged when she was only 4 years old. This union proved to be a troublesome one many many times, nevertheless they developed a strange kind of affection for each other over the years.

Henry is the only son to Benjamin Jameston and thus the heir of the Jameston Company. He was born in 1931 and died at the age of 35 in 1966 due to a complication with an experiment conducted on himself.
He took over a leading role within the company shortly after World War II, once his father thought of him as 'ready'. It was due to Henry's influence that the Company started to push away more and more from solely military tech and instead used it as a foundation for new things:
Security (filter technology) as well as genetics (JG) and "bionics" (JB) as Henry used to call it.
Genetic as well as bio-mechanical engineering soon became an obsession of his, which finally lead towards his demise.
His views of mankind quickly deteriorated once he was sole owner of the Jameston Company. He started to view mankind as flawed and wanted to 'enhance' human beings with his technology so these 'flaws' would disappear from the face of the planet.
Due to his own effort of becoming the first 'enhanced human being' he decided to replace his own weak heart with a mechanical one. Unfortunately his own technology wasn't ready yet...

Henry left behind a son - Richard - as well as his wife Margaret. After Henry's death Richard was supposed to take the seat of CEO in the company, yet he was only 2 years old at that time. A 'replacement' was installed until Richard would be old enough to take his turn on leading the family venture. It was Margaret who looked after Calvin Hobbes who had taken on said position for the time being, so he would run the Company in favour of Henry's will.
It is widely rumored that she was the one who founded JVC originally in 1963.

The whereabouts of Margaret Jameston are currently unknown and kept away from the public.

Richard Jameston

The Lion of LA
Richard Jameston was born in 1964 and is currently 38 years old. He is also the current head of the Jameston Family.
He took the seat as CEO of the company at the age of 25 after a long and thorough education by his mother and various elitist schools. Aside to his studies he already worked in the company since the age of 18 before he took the leading position. During this time he also introduced a new logo - a lion's head - for the brand "Jameston", thus earning him his later nickname together with his fierce and keen way of managing the enterprise.
In contrast to his father and grandfather he is more a businessman than a scientist or military activist, yet still he follows in the footsteps of the legendary Henry Jameston as he invests high amounts of money from the company into JB and JG.

A black cat named Alecious is his prized possession.

There you have it - even more background.
I might tell you a few more things about Alecious in the future - but for now I'll leave it at that. (And believe me, he's quite a special little fella.)

As always thanks for reading,
Marc, the Hyped-Up

P.S.: I meant this song here... or rather all of them. Enjoy and kudos to the show... I think it's kinda funny whilst it actually isn't. Old television was the best, wasn't it?
