The Veil of Secrecy drops...

...like the curtain made of lead that he/she/it is (and tragically hits the participants feet).

Let's make this a part of the short-update-madness series in which I give you an idea of what we had in mind for these secret-ridden summer holidays and of what it turned out to be.

First the interesting part - what we wanted to do:
The original plan was something alongside this: taking bus or train to Oberwiesenthal (southern Saxony, Germany - near the Fichtelberg for those interested in foreign(?) geography) and then walking to Kap Arkona (the northern-most piece of land of RĂ¼gen (large Island north of Germany) in about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks time.
This would have summed up to about 540 km (roughly 335 miles) on foot.

What happened:
Neither the weather nor the health of the participants seemed to agree to this little venture of ours, so despite the thorough preparations that had been made for this trip - we decided to cancel it after a few days time. For the better of all - or something on the lines of that.

What came after the first failure:
Waves of depression... nah... just kidding - we were a bit down for a few days, as it usually is when facing defeat like this, especially after the high hopes that we had for this whole thing, but we quickly came up with a new idea.

What it turned out to become:
We chose a different means of travel - the by far easier sounding one: car ... BUT ... it really only sounds easier.
So now we are going about the length of a daily route we had in mind by car and are having a good look at the local sights. Although the really interesting, or rather the really depressing thing about this all is how godforsaken some regions turn out to be...
I'm sitting here, just after having finished breakfast in a small... well... tiny village in midst of Brandenburg, roughly 40 km north of Berlin and yeah... You could say there is nothing around here. Just a big cloud of nothing.
To be fair south of Berlin was worse - and it's kinda funny when finding out that a road which is even found on larger road maps turns out to be nothing but a way made of sand and clay leading through a forest (and yes - it really was the right track - it even had the signs pointing out this thing was supposed to be the right road)... so good times to be had by all

On the bright side of it all - this way I've got a lot more time to go through my previously done writing and to get on to new stuff. I finished a timeline for the events previous to the storyline of Loner's Peak yesterday and I intend to upload this in a few days, or at the latest when I'm back home again.

There ya go and there I go for now.
Thanks for reading, I'm off for the day. Onwards! TO THE NORTH! *smacks the none-existing horse*

As always thanks for reading.

P.S.: Internet connection too slow to upload a new kitteh... maybe in a few days or so...

Tripping along the road...

So here it is, the promised update. And it's all about current affairs...

First of all... I'm still with my family in Saxony / Germany, having a good time, relaxing and occasionally kicking an old bed to shreds. (Which is, in fact, the truth... I actually kicked the old bed of my grandma's into pieces yesterday - it proved to be the easiest way of taking it apart.)
Nevertheless all these oh-so-great things will come to an end tomorrow, as the actual holiday-part of this visit is going to commence in its 3 1/2 weeks of glory, together with all of its horrifying beauty and strain...

What's that? Huh? Tell you more about it?

I'd love to, but yeah, sorry... I'm still not 'allowed' to talk about it as freely as I'd prefer. But no worries, I will be taking my laptop along with me and should we come along a hotspot I will (at least theoretically) be able to get one or two updates on to the site during the next few weeks.
I will however give a bit more detail on the actual trip as we go along or at the latest once I'm back home in Bremen.

First stop tomorrow: Oberwiesenthal / Saxony. (For those curious: Go look it up... google is your friend)

That's all I guess... a short update before going into this semy-hiatus. Oh, oh no, wait a second... I got an interessting business proposal yesterday evening... nothing set into stone at the moment, but probably a great opportunity.
Addmittedly it kinda sucks when everything persistently remains to be as vague as this, but I'm sure something will change soon enough. I'm not the kind of person to get too stressed out about things like that (or about anything in general). But I guess that's a good thing in this part of the industry.

Now I'm sure I'm done with everything.
As always thanks for reading!

P.S.: I know they've been out for a few days now, but the new Celldweller songs are plain awesome! :o "I can't wait" rocks!
P.P.S.: Upping nu Kitteh

Seemingly unrelated songquote:
"Welcome to a world where the air I breath is mine. Nothing to overwhelm me and nothing to cloud my mind. Be anyone, do anything I'd ever want to try. Time does not exist here. I will never die!"

As time goes by

Sheesh... time flies by this year...
I intended on updating earlier, yet you should notice - I didn't manage before today. (And there's not too much to tell honestly...)

Currently I'm at my mom's house, 'chillaxing' with the family. I got some editing done over the last few days, which I think is pretty good, but still... I'll got caught up with another (new) time-waster. Dammit game-developers! *shackes fist*

So I'll keep this very very short for today:
My cat still loves me and hasn't tried to carve anything new into my skin until now. I've spent some quality time with my grandma - had some catching up to do after the last few months. We've visited the theatre on Friday where they've showed 'Everyman'. And Saturday was mainly getting together with a couple of friends, having a good time.
On the literary side of things, as I've mentioned before, I got some editing done and I also managed to talk buisiness for a bit on Saturday, though sadly we didn't have enough time for all that would have been important. (I won't be getting any further into this as of now, there aren't any major developements to talk about so I'll lie low with talking about this whole thing.)

And happy 4th of July for the American readers. Keep it safe and don't blow your limbs off... we all know how much you all love fire works...

That should be all for now, next update will most likely be Wednesday - yeah I'm rather sure on that.

Thanks for reading, have a great (holy-)day everyone.

P.S.: I should get going and upload a new kitteh, shouldn't I?
