A perfect headline for a day in November... when all the little insects are outside on their way from flower to flower and... oh... uhm... never mind.
I'm not done with the whole Bamboo thingy yet, as I've yet againg got overwhelmed by my own personal longings to get Loner's Peak done and started the second phase of editing a bit sooner than originally planned. So during the last two days I've been occupied with trying to smooth out some of the rougher edges that the story still had. And I'm quite confident that it won't be before too long that the storyline of Jonathan Mortinson is done, so I can move on to the parts of Thomas Mitchell. In any case you could just say I've been doing stuff.
For today, the flash fiction I want to present to you is a bit... awkward. It's somewhat of a stylized story for children with a save-the-environment background to it. I mentioned it aaaages ago on the site and I think the only thing I actually said about it was that Beni had approved of it.
Just don't take it too seriously.
Anyways, enjoy!
*~*
Well hello there! How nice of you to join us.
Who I mean with "us" you want to know? Well, can’t you see her? Oh yes I know, she is a bit tiny, but please do not tell I said that about her. Look! She is right over here, my good friend Camilla, the beautiful butterfly.
She really is enjoying this lovely day to the fullest. She has been outside playfully flying around ever since the sun came up! She really had a lot of fun today!
I hope she didn’t fly too fast. That really must have been exhausting!
So Camilla has to sit down for short moment. How about over there, on that small flower? Oh do not be silly, she is not that heavy. She is merely a small butterfly after all!
It has been a really warm day until now. The sun has been happily shining brightly down from the sky with a wide smile on her yellow face.
Oh! Who is that behind that flower over there! Ah! It is Bertha, the bumblebee! How good to see you too! She is a good friend of Camilla and I guess she is also happy to see her butterfly friend too.
But poor little Bertha does not have as much luck as Camilla has. She had to work all day long. She was collecting nectar from the colourful flowers all around us on the lush meadow. So Bertha must also have had a really exhausting day too! But she is not only tired it seems! What is wrong Bertha? Why do you look so sad?
‘Oh’ the cute little bumblebee says in a low voice, ‘I am sad because of my home meadow. It is all gone! It simply vanished this morning just after I got up.’
'How mean! What had happened Bertha?' Camilla also wants to know why her friend is so sad. So that maybe we can cheer her up again!
‘They are building a new motorway over there! But it was such nice meadow. All my neighbours were so friendly. Emma the Mouse, Charlie the mole and even my distant cousin Edna the wasp from the nearest forest, they all had to suddenly move away this morning! And all this happened just because those humans wanted to build another one of their noisy and dirty roads. I don’t think they needed any more, if you ask me, but I’m just a tiny bumblebee without a car. I’m just happy you did not have to move away too, Camilla!’
Camilla sees how sad Bertha looks down to the ground. 'Humans sure are mean sometimes! But you can stay with me, if you want to!’ Camilla says quickly. And you can already see how small Bertha is already lightening up a bit again.
‘It’s maybe not as great as your old home, but I’m sure we will have lots of fun!’
But unfortunately this all the time we got here on the meadow. I'm afraid we have to leave those two already. I'm sure they will be fine!
Bye now Camilla! Bye Bertha!

Another week down, another week closer to Christmas.
As for next Friday - just as announced: I'll put the first installment of The Bamboo Labyrinth up on to the site. And I'll be giving you a few more details on the whole topic in the said post as well, how it'll all work etc pp. So you get a better idea of what I'm planning.
I think I shall leave it at that for now and get back to editing. The sooner it's done, the sooner it's over with. Writing the story and coming up with it in general is a lot of fun if you ask me - but the other parts are a bit tedious from time to time.
Anyways... as always thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this weeks piece of flash-fiction I threw at you.
Marc, the one who's pretty much high on energy drinks and caffeine right now.. weeeeeeee
P.S.: I'll see what I can do to get a new kitteh up.
P.P.S.: Kitteh upz.
Seemingly unrelated songquote of the day:
"If we don't kill ourselves we'll be the leaders of a messed up generation. If we don't kid ourselves, will they believe us the reasons when we tell them why?"
Welcome everybody as I explore the vast worlds trapped within my own imagination, ranging from the darkest corners of this earth up to bright and sunny fields of joy... and such. Also, as promissed, random kittens now and then!

[ST] - Getting something done... feeling good.
So yeah, this post should actually be more about another chunk of loose text that I throw at you and get you to read it, but I'd rather share something else with you today.
It's a feeling... a feeling of utter happiness and joy that I currently still cherish. Because as of Wednesday 2nd of November I finally got done with Loner's Peak! (As predicted. Also, I made some slight adjustments to its respective page on the blog during the day.)
Well..., for now at least... And this is when all the waiting starts off again. Getting some opinions before the next wave of editing sweeps over the text and so on. All that jazz right before writing the queries, so that the next waiting bit can go on its way.
Sounds thrilling, doesn't it?
Yep... Not really... although to be honest, not knowing when something is starting to go back on track and most of all the waiting that comes when the bit with the agencies starts off again is kinda nerve-wracking from time to time. But fear not... I will keep myself ocupied during the time Loner's Peak is somewhat on hold.
For the time being, I will focus my attention on a short story I've been thinking about for a while now during the upcoming week. This project will probably find its way onto the blog and into the world via this here Storytime segment at some point. I won't be giving away any kind of spoilers for it, but expect it to be going to be uploaded in several small parts, so it'll most likely be up on a one part per week basis once it's done. I can't really tell when the first of those is going to be uploaded yet, but middle to end of the month should be a rather safe bet. Anyways look forward to that if for some reason you don't like flash fiction with all its suddenness and short-ish shortnessy shortness (or you just think I can't write that stuff for s....).
After that I will start getting involved with the second part of the _______* - Trilogy (*insert name here).
Current working title for this part of the bigger project, the second part, is 'Fool's Flight',to have mentioned it once again.
I might start the real writing on that part of the story right away, or at least a lot sooner than with Loner's Peak, as I've got a better and more detailed idea on how that part should generally all go down than with the other two.
All that blubbering about plans aside I conclude... I'm feeling good today, a bit restless though. Didn't do much today, enjoyed my 2nd day "off". But I'll get back into it tomorrow.
Preparing some bamboo for y'all...
But ... today is Friday after all... so I'll have to give you something more or less sensible to read nevertheless. Just as you thought you'd managed to get around it ... hrhr.
*~*
What a night...
My brain is all fuzzy and my memories all seem washed-out. And if I try to remember something from yesterday I can’t fully recall what of it was dream and what reality.
It’s a complete mess, a pulp of lights, music and shouting.
All I can say for sure is that right now I’m lying in a white bed in a hospital somewhere down central, with my whole body aching like all hell broke loose an hour ago.
A white coat had already visited me once or twice. He had said a few things I didn’t quite catch. He was talking to a nurse about how severely I might have been poisoned from the stuff in the pills I had swallowed. Nobody really knows.
Damn it... what happened last night?
The harder I try to think about it, the more my head hurts.
I still know how my friends and I were talking about starting the party. I had all the small pills right in the palm of my hand. All of them had different colours, just like placebos but with an effect.
As the alcohol was already running through my veins I started imagining things... My addiction was kicking in. By now I can tell for sure that once I see things move, breathe or even hear how they talk to me, I know it’s time for my ‘medicine’ and it’s not fun at all. The blue pill was looking at me. I imagined a smiling face on its outside. Come on, it whispered to me, I should do it. I should get it over with. It said that it knew how much I wanted to.
My hands were already starting to shake wildly, but my friends were only looking at me angrily. One of them yelled at me over the music. I should be getting done he screamed and that he wanted me to pass a few of the pills to them. They didn’t even notice how I almost started flailing around aimlessly.
The blue little thing was still staring at me. It called me ‘Jackie-boy’ as it tried to persuade me again to get on with it.
I couldn’t take it any longer. I couldn’t bear the voice anymore.
With a quick movement I just chucked the hand full of pills down into my body. It was more an act of desperation than anything else! Swallowing was difficult, but not nearly as hard as trying to gather these memories.
I swear I still could hear them thanking me as they made their way into my stomach.
Immediately my friends started cursing and I think one of them punched me straight into the face. That would at least offer a reason for my right eye hurting this much.
And now I’m lying here, completely drained out and probably poisoned.
But what really worries me the most right now is that smiling face on wall opposite of me...
*~*
There you go, another Friday done, another week almost over with. In any case I hope you enjoyed this weeks piece of Flash-Fiction (FLASH! AHAAAA!) and that you have a great weekend!
As always thanks for reading.

At least that's what I believe it is called.
Greatings everyone to a brand new Friday with a new 450 word-long story for you. Yay, wooh or at least yeah... I hope.
My internet connection seems to has stabilized again after finally managing to d/l the update for my router from the respective update-server yesterday at around 11 a.m. Thankfully running smoothly ever since... aaaaand hopefully continuing to do for quite a while ... although I probably jinxed it now, haven't I? Darn it... I really should learn not to talk about such things all in public...
ANYWAYS as I was saying today is Friday - a great day in the week actually... so calm and relaxing, knowing the weekend's only a few more hours away... yeah. For me this day hasn't quite as much meaning as for others... for one thing because I'm a student (let's face it... which day isn't part of the weekend for a student?) and probably mostly because writing stuff doesn't really bother about week days. And even if sleeping in from Monday night 'till Wednesday morning is nice and all... sometimes you gotta get some work done.

Though I highly doubt I'll get Loner's Peak finished still before the end of the month, but I'll try get as far as possible. I can safely say it's only a matter of days as the pieces of the puzzle are now all fallling into place rather nicely, making working on it a lot easier. At least that's how it works for me.
BUT enough of that and let's head over to the Flash-Fiction of today! Enjoy!

There you go, I hope you enjoyed this weeks Story Time and feel free to ch...
What are you talking about? Can't read it? But it's perfectly fine... isn't it?
Oh I forgot...
Ah well... at least my laptop should be a-okay with this text as it is, he was the one who decided to convert the original one to this after all... Silly little helicopter...
Just give me a second.
*~*
The blades of our two swords crash together, sending a shock through my arms.
The sounds they produce are dull, hinting on the condition of the weapon.
I have to admit, mine is far from being as sharp as it once should have been but if you’d manage to land a clean hit, it would surely still do the trick nevertheless.
A flash of light tears the moment apart as we gather momentum for the next strike. When lightning burst down from the heavens like this, it usually isn’t a good sign.
It’s a bad omen for a fight...
The claymore rests firmly in my hands. A fine weapon, crafted to be lead by one hand only, yet if you so desire it can be wielded with both to strengthen the blows dealt. The thin wooden shield I had been carrying was discarded quickly. Now it rests somewhere on the ground far to my right. But why keep it if it serves no real purpose in this battle other than throwing me off my balance? Besides if my enemy is wielding a two-handed sword it won’t offer much protection in the first place.
The weapon of my foe would just smash through the frail barricade.
My opponent is fierce and his strikes are backed up by power as we trade blows. I take a turn to my left as I dodge his weapon, dragging my own one behind. As his blade cuts through empty air I pull my arm up, leading my weapon in a high arc as I am aiming for his head.
Easily he avoids it trapping myself in his little dance of blades. I parry his first counter attack with ease. Within a single second my own attack has been turned around, leaving me no choice but to fend off his strikes. I try to get into my routine again. If he strikes high, dodge it. When he attacks low, a short parry should do. And if he goes directly for your centre..., well block it, dodge it... It doesn’t matter that much.
Or maybe start a counter? A swift kick to the guts would surely break it up for him, if I...could just... find... the right moment to...
I underestimate his next attack. It is only a quick step to the right for him to avoid my foot. I on the other hand lose my balance. It’s over. His sword hits my right shoulder. It doesn’t cut but it sure hurts as hell. I land on the ground where I remain for a moment as he steps over to me. The tip of his blade is now directly next to my throat. ... He retreats his weapon. This isn’t about blood anymore.
The sheer number of flashes suddenly erupting indicates how many photos are being taken right now. The crowd cheers as I get back to my feet and we take out little bow. It’s all about entertainment.
He usually beats me.
But I’ll get him next show, even if it’s the last thing I’ll do!
*~*
Determination!
Now after that has been cleared up, I hope you enjoyed the actual text ... if you liked the first one more, feel free to tell me, the computer surely would appreciate it.
Also don't be shy, feel free to check out the previous Story Times, if you haven't already.
As always thanks for reading! Have a great end of the week.

[ST] - White Powder ... You mean snow, right?
Another week - another Friday - another story to tell.
Yes it's already one week after the first 'Story Time' and I'm back for more - just as promised (or threatened, depends on how you want to view it).
What's that? It's not yet Friday everywhere? Uh... yeah, you're right I guess, but as a matter of fact there is not a single moment in which everywhere in the world is the same day, so why bother too much?
Never mind me, just was getting distracted by my own brain. Spacing out and talking to myself there for a second. he... he...? Aw well, let's get this party started before it happens again, shall we?
This weeks story takes us back into the past. A rough past, not that long ago actually. But you'll see for yourself once you read it. Enjoy.
*~*
*~*
I'm still in need for a suitable title - so I'll leave that open for now, but I'll probably add one later on. The whole idea was inspired by a rather well-known movie (did I just hear somebody yell rip-off?) and I'm sure you'll all figure out which one it is on your own. Should be easy enou... oh wow... spacing out again... Not a good sign... not at all. Maybe that's my queue to go back to bed again (fyi it's 11 a.m. in Germany right now).
Gotta love starting to "work" at 4 a.m. ...
But now I'm just starting to bitch around - I really should stop right here before it only gets worse. I hope you enjoyed this weeks scrap of text and have (had?) a great Friday. Weekend's near! Yay!
(As for the content of upcoming Flash-fiction stories: The next ones will be great! I promise - this is all still warm-up!)
As always thanks for reading.

The history of my family has always been rather colourful.
I used to love how my grandfather told me tales of his youth. How he and his parents had first set foot into this country and how they had to struggle to find their place amongst the people already living here.
Just try to imagine how life must have been for them for once. It is as a fascinating thought as it stirs up a kind of fear and restlessness inside of me. I’m not sure whether I would have been able to do something like they did at that time.
They left everything behind you know.
They just left in order to pursue what appealed to them as their piece of fortune in life that they still had to claim for themselves before somebody else took it.
All those countless stories I had listened to when I was a child. It is strange how a lot of them have only recently started to make sense to me.
During the time when I was still younger I never thought about many of the things that were told to me. Like a sponge I just kept on soaking up everything that he talked about.
But here is a question for you. How exactly did you managed to secure something for yourself in rough times like those?
You got involved with illegal activities or you had to do the dirty work for other people. Either way, what an atrocious time it must have been for my great grandfather.
I can recall the story of how they had managed to open up their first own business. They had a simple carpenter’s shop in the beginning. But this alone just did not cut it. Then one of my great grandfather’s friends had the idea. He was also the one who organized their first meeting with people from this this strange, kind of dodgy group in town. It had not taken long for them to come up with a deal suiting both sides equally.
Soon afterwards those people showed up again at the shop, small bags of white powder neatly hidden away in their pockets.
Smuggling drugs has always been a problem in this country.
But after coming to know all of this how can I look at it that negatively?
Do not get me wrong. In no way I would support something like this, but thinking about it. This was exactly what made a living for my grandfather and his parents those days.
Hadn’t it come this way..., well then I would probably still live somewhere else in the world. If I had ever been born in the first place, that is.

[ST] - First Reflexions
Welcome to this first go at my 'Storytime' segment of this blog.
As already briefly explained last time in the SUM of Tuesday, I want to use my Fridays to get a bit new original content onto the site in form of Flash-Fiction (and probably also short stories later on) on a regular basis and not only on random occasions as it has been until now.
I already have a couple of texts prepared for you and I think it'd be easiest to just start off and get today's update, the first of said texts, on the way.
And just to be on the safe side: Each of these very short-short stories I'd like to present to you, has a very individual theme to it. They may not be incredibly fancy as they start out, because of their rather basic nature at the beginning. But I believe they shall entertain you nonetheless (as they also grow more wacky and wonky over time).
Not all of them have titles at the moment, but I may add those later on.
But for now: all the talking aside, enjoy the first flash fiction in this little series.
*~*
Reflexions
*~*
There you go. I hope you liked reading this little scrap of text taken from my mind. The theme I chose for this one... well yeah... it should at least be pretty self-explanatory.(Hint: look at the poorly chosen headline! and yeah BE - why you ask? well... because my brain felt like it I guess. In all honesty..., I don't have too much right to have a say in most matters.)
Also: "The land shall melt, the sea shall burn and the sky shall fall... but still the mind remains to be eternal."
Taken from my notebook for 'Nightingale'. ...HarHar...
As always, thanks for reading and enjoy your day.
Marc, the non-reflecting Mirror
P.S.: Kinda Kitty on the way for you.

Reflexions
What is it to life that makes it so incredibly difficult?
Even when you put the ‘Why am I here?’ aside for a moment, it does not ease up anything at all. There is always somebody putting pressure onto you. And although most of these people only seem as if they want to help out, they never stop expecting something in return.
Those people tell you that they only want the best for you, but in secret most of them are only trying to shape you according to themselves. This is something that I had to realize the hard way and I am not proud of it.
What a treacherous habit for any human to have, indeed.
They cover you in sweet words and expect you to swallow them because it is their pure good will which carries you on your way through life. Sadly not even age is able to stop them. They just keep on telling you what would be best to do according to their imagination even after you have grown out of the role as a child or teenager.
I’m growing tired of it all. I’m growing tired of being used by somebody else as his or her canvas.
And after a while it stops mattering whether it is your friends, your father, mother or even your grandparents who are pushing you towards something you don’t want. Despite the love you feel for them, you just can’t take it any longer. And that is exactly where the problem remains to be.
To realize your own dreams and not those of somebody else is what is making ‘living’ so difficult and sometimes furthermore ... straining.
Yet getting those close to your heart to accept something as trivial as this is often harder than you might imagine. It is sad how stubborn people can be although they are only trying to help somebody out.
Then again, we should be grateful that we are allowed to even think of this as a ‘problem’ in the first place. In many eras of the past it would have been unthinkable to raise such a question, to raise these thoughts. You were expected to blindly follow the direction given by your family or sometimes by people you did not know at all. Considering this we are incredibly lucky.
We are lucky that we have the opportunity to stand up for ourselves. Pushing on is the only thing that will ease the process.
It might not be easy and it might just sound like another lie, but there is no other way.
Leave this place behind and start living your life to the fullest.

Finally, honey-toasted pizza!... Wait..., what?!?
Here I go on again blabbering about...
If I'm totally honest there isn't that much to talk about today, although there are a few things that have been going on lately.
First of all, I finally got back into my lil' fitness routine again. It's been a while since the last time I did the workouts from BodyRock.tv ... and wow... my arms and legs are sore already.. BUT .. I feel great otherwise! And I just love the phase of complete exhaustion directly after the workout followed by an incredible boost of energy! Makes me question myself why I stopped doing them in the first place.
Oh guilty conscience you so... uh yeah... probably right...
I also finally got my hands on a great board game by the simple name of 'Zombies!!!' ... yeah, following the personal hype of mine that I'm cultivating the moment. It's by the utterly great people of TwilightCreationsInc.
(luckily not THAT twilight... but I'll hold back and won't comment on that 'franchise' just yet)
It's a rather simple game with really fluent game-play where you build a city from randomly drawn tiles turn by turn and try to escape the zombie infested city via helicopter in the end.
I'd say give it a try, if you're into such kind of games (and zombies in that case ofc).
And... I FINALLY got back into 'Loner's Peak'... yeah I've been writing actual stuff for the story. Not that I'd been all lazy and didn't care for it anymore... I filled a good few pages in my notebooks with stuff for the story and the following two parts over the course of the past weeks.
And still I won't be able to concentrate on it 'full-time' just yet - there is still too many things that need sorting out along the side.
(I really need some help... too many things, too many ideas... sheesh. And just to keep you from worrying too much - I'm still confident that I'll manage to sort it all out quite nicely at some point.)
I wrote five (short-short) pieces of flash-fiction during the last week for example.
They might not be that long (roughly 500 words a piece) but coming up with a good idea for one also isn't too easy. Most things I come up with would be a better fit for longer stuff with maybe 5.000 words.
But yeah, five are already done - I'll start working on number six as soon as I'm done with this post right here - which means only six more to go. Yep, you read it right. Six more to come. The goal is to get twelve little stories done.
Why I'm doing stuff like that when I could be getting on with a story that needs to be finished, which I promised to people online that I don't know personally a few times already?
Well... that's a good question indeed. To put it simple: I have a plan with them, they'll all find use eventually.
And finally another 'finally'! Yesterday I found a real nice letter inside my mailbox downstairs. It's from a good friend of mine from back in the days. (His name's Benjamin. I'll refer to him like that on here - don't confuse him with Beni though! The plush bear might get angry.)
He is a really gifted artist, who decided to study law.
Yep...
But back to topic. He finished a great drawing for my other story, 'Sleeptalking' in the style of a copper engraving (or etching - whatever word you want to use for it, English-German translations aren't very clear on that, seen dozens of different variations on what is supposed to be right). The only thing I'm not totally sure about is how to use it most effectively, because I think it is a bit too bright for the outside-cover of the book as such. So I face a bit of thinking that has to be done in that regard.
I might put it up onto site at some point, but not yet .. that would be too sooooooon.
And just for your delight, a new excerpt only for you!
Sheesh all that bloggy stuff today. But yeah... those were my four 'finally's' of the day.
As always thanks for reading and have a great day,
Marc, finally the final finally
P.S.: New Kitteh already up.
P.P.S.: Some day you'll might have the pleasure to read the story about Camilla the butterfly and Bertha the bumblebee... if you're nice enough to deserve such a treatment!

“MITCH! MOVE YOUR ASS OVER HERE!” he yells at me.
Why on earth... couldn’t he have told me whatever it is when he was still sitting next to me? With a sigh I make my way over to the partition’s door dividing the place into a large open spac and one smaller room.
“One more thing.” he says looking at me while sitting in his chair leaning back.
“What is it Barry...?” my impatience is flowing through the words I speak.
“Did I ever tell you the story of the little swallow searching for its place in life?”
This question hits me right out of the blue. I’ve got no idea on how to respond to it properly.
“Uh... No?” I stammer after a short while.
“It didn’t fucking care! THE END! Now get out of my freakin’ warehouse and DO YOUR GODDAMN JOB!”
Yeah I know... I already used the thing with the swallow on this page before. But I wanted to show you how it looks like implemented into the actual story.

Moonlight's Flashing Flash
Right now I'm sitting here on my bed writing a post for my blog, at a time when I actually should be sleeping rather than staring at the monitor of my laptop.
Yay for updating in the middle of the night ... yaaay... (at least it's the middle of the night in Germany - around 4 a.m. to be precise)
So what's the big deal with this? It seems I've got a bit 'insomniatic' again for a change so I figured I could as well go ahead and do a bit of work on this site of mine. I've been updating a few parts of this site with new content - mainly the random stuff. There is a new kitteh up as well. And I've been ironing out a few other things here and there, basically all over the place.
Also I'm still a bit hesitant to let Beni write his own blog-posts on the main site... who knows what he'd come up with...
There you go ... you call yourself an 'author' for once and immediately the cliche stuff kicks in..., now I just need to become an alcoholic and I'm all set... not that I'd actually be intending on going down that step slope. On the contrary - I'm trying to get away from the stuff completely.
But this post isn't solely about my pointless ramblings - I brought nice little piece of Flash-fiction along for you, my dearest readers. The whole thing is pretty self-explanatory so I don't plan on saying too much about it, except for: Enjoy!
*~*
*~*
The one thing I will admit and I'm sure most of you will have guessed it already, is that this whole thing is based on something that happened to me a while go in a similar fashion.
The short lil' text was originally intended for a contest - yet I withdrew it from the project as it was ... well... still too long and cutting even more would only cripple it in my opinion.
Concerning the recent events - I'm starting to come to terms with the development of the whole situation and I'm starting to accept what happened, so I'm also slowly leaving the lethargy of the last week behind me.
It's getting better again.
On a different - totally random note - I'm currently on the look-out for a good game with zombies in it that is available for a reasonable price... (And I want to mention that I don't like the Left 4 Dead series that much - just doesn't appeal to me)
Yeah - I know it's somewhat cruel - and I see the "irony" in the situation myself, but I got caught up on the whole Dead Island hype that started during the last week or two.
I probably would have jumped for it, could I actually get it via Steam... but nope... the German FSK decided that the game is not suitable distribution in our country (admittedly it is kind of nasty). Maybe, just maybe I could get my hands on a copy somehow but then again... it is still kinda expensive.
So I'm currently getting my fix of Dead Island thanks to Youtube by watching 2 Let's Play's of it - One solo playthrough with some random co-op-ness (Thanks for keeping it rad Mr. Brad :>) - and another, different one on 4-Player Co-op.
So there you go.
I hope you enjoyed my randomness as I lack sleep and the Flash-fiction I hereby offered for your entertainment.Have a great day - all of you.
As always thanks for reading,
Marc, Chosen by the Moon
P.S.: New stuff everywhere \o/ Oh snap... already mentioned that... erm.. Bazinga?

Stray Memories
Have you ever experienced a dream so vivid and life-like that you confused it with reality?
Each night a normal, ordinary person has countless dreams, fractions and scraps of memories, thoughts and illusions, not even meant to be remembered past sunrise.
Yet only a scarce number of those might ever have such an effect on you.
Nights tend to be lonely when you’re on your own and in a city not even the stars will keep you company.
It was in one of those nights that I was sitting on my bed doing nothing, not even really sleeping, except for maybe admiring the darkness around me for its relentless obscurity.
Then I started to hear her voice.
It seemed clear yet distant, with a mechanical undertone to it just like on the phone.
At first I just listened to her, but then we quickly started to talk about all kinds of things.
We kept going on for hours and hours.
Suddenly she was quiet again and the haze around me started to lighten up.
In an outburst of panic I searched for the telephone on the nightstand. I barely got a hold of it.
I held it to my ear, asking if everything was alright. But the only answer I received was the monotone dialling tone, waiting for me to enter a number.
The bitter realization... we've never talked since we put an end to it.
A dillusion from the past haunting me in a moment of rest.
A dillusion from the past haunting me in a moment of rest.
Have you ever experienced such a thing?
No?
Then I guess this won’t matter to you...
